Backstroking Sierra Alpine Lakes

Trailnames are accorded to recognize some personal characteristic that may distinguish one hiker. In my case, I jump into cold alpine lakes. The view is best when backstroking where you can regard the surrounding mountains while quickly becoming crazy chilled.

I do respect LNP principles "Leave No Trace", so I try to enter ponds from a side where I do the least damage to the fragile shoreline, I don't submerge with newly applied suntan lotion or mosquito repellant, and so on. Some small ponds are just too small to enter without damage, so I don't.
